Sixth Grade Overview

  sixth graders
The Sixth Grade Program fully supports students' transition to Middle School, fostering increased independence and self-awareness as students see, learn, and undertake more.  Teachers work closely together to best build solid, integrated curriculum and an optimal community setting for students entering Middle School.

Sixth graders learn study and organizational skills, participate in a variety of team-building activities, do service learning as large groups, pursue independent research questions, and reflect on their own academic work in a thoughtful and consistent way. Sixth graders are welcome and encouraged to participate in all Middle School activities and events.
