Campaigns
We offer several campaigns throughout the school year to support The San Francisco School. Please do not hesitate to contact the Development Office at The San Francisco School with any questions. Thank you in advance for your support.
Annual Fund
Each fall the school launches our Annual Fund campaign, our core fundraising effort, which helps bridge the difference between tuition income and the actual cost of each child’s education at The San Francisco School ($2,817 this year).
Working together, and with the support of the full SFS community, we meet the immediate costs of salaries and benefits for faculty, funds for the art and music programs, and further the school’s substantial commitment to being an economically diverse community, by funding the indexed tuition program. Every family is expected to participate in keeping with their financial circumstances.
Endowment
In our work with children, The San Francisco School shapes a vision of the world where diversity and community are embraced, and where intellectual, imaginative and humanitarian pursuits are celebrated. The San Francisco School Endowment, which now totals over $2 million, assures the socio-economic diversity, the innovative programs, the talented faculty, and the financial flexibility that, in turn, shape the school and the education of our students. A contribution to The San Francisco School Endowment is a contribution to shaping our future. Named Funds may be established with a cumulative gift of $25,000.

Planned Giving/Legacy Gifts
A tremendous way to support The San Francisco School Endowment is to include the school in your Will/Trust. We recognize that your bequest intentions are a personal matter, and you may wish to keep them confidential. If you are willing to share them, the school would like to acknowledge your intentions publicly. Whether or not you choose to make this information public, you are eligible for membership in the The San Francisco School Legacy Society, an honorary giving society. If you have questions or would like more details about making a planned gift to The San Francisco School, please email or call Director of Development, Charlie Meade.
Major Gifts
To help ensure the financial stability of The San Francisco School, the school has an ongoing major gifts effort for those families with the interest in making a major financial investment and the capacity to do so. The Major Gifts program supports special needs that require contributed funds in addition to Annual Giving. The school has several projects and opportunities that are in need of funding, including scholarships, facilities improvements, technology and equipment for our academic programs. Please contact Director of Development, Charlie Meade for gift opportunities and priority needs.
Scrip
In an effort to support local businesses and raise important funds for the school, parents and others may purchase paper scrip to be used at Rainbow Grocery in the Mission, Canyon Market in Glen Park and Good Life Grocery, with a location in Bernal Heights and one in Potrero Hill.
