Events
The San Francisco School organizes several school-wide events every year that both bring the community together and financially support the community. These events include:
Tuition Assistance Auction
Every spring The San Francisco School, with the generous collaboration of many parent volunteers, organizes an auction that supports the school's indexed tuition program. The event nets over $100,000 with the first $75,000 going directly to the annual indexed tuition budget and the remaining proceeds directed to the Tuition Assistance Endowment to ensure the school’s ongoing commitment to our indexed tuition program. With approximately 300 attendees every year, it is a great evening that brings school parents, staff and friends of the school together and raises critical funds. Walkathon and All School Picnic
Each October, over 250 parents, children and staff take over a local park and hold the annual Walkathon and All School Picnic. Since 1980, the community has come together to welcome a new year and raise important funds for projects around campus. Grandparents Day
In May of each year, the school invites grandparents and special friends to join us on campus. The morning-long visit includes an extended visit in the classrooms, a musical performance, photographs and a welcome talk by the Head of School. This event is very popular, with over 100 grandparents and special friends joining us each spring. Book Fair
The annual diversity book fair is a great way the community can support the library and celebrate books. The librarian and parent volunteers organize our book fairs. If you are interested in volunteering or attending, please contact the school librarian, Solveig Dimon.
