Extended Day Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact Maggie Weis if you have questions that are not answered here.

How do I access the online sign-up page?
You need the parent username and password for this page. Please consult a recent Tuesday Note Home for what these are. If you believe you are using the correct username and password (including correct capitalization) and are still being rejected, please email webfeedback for help or sign up at one of the computers in the library near the extended day sign-out at school.

How do I change one or more of the classes I signed my child up for?

You can just sign up again for the days you want to change and you don't have to sign up again for the other days where you are happy with the original selection.

My child wants to sign up herself/himself instead of having me do it. Is that possible?

Only middle school students are allowed to sign themselves up. Unless they already know how to do it, they should ask Maggie Weis for help at school.

What is the Academic Tutoring Program and what does it cost?

This fee-based tutoring program is designed to provide after-school, small group academic support to first through eighth grade students at The San Francisco School. The program provides small group academic tutoring that is related to classroom objectives, usually in a particular subject area. The tutor works in close consultation with a classroom teacher and/or the Learning Specialist to develop the goals and materials for the tutoring sessions.

The fee for tutoring is based on the actual number of class meetings scheduled for each semester, as well as the time of the class. The fee for a 3:30 to 4:30 pm class is 3.5 extended day blocks per meeting; the fee for a 4:30 to 5:30 pm class is 3 extended day blocks per meeting. This fee is in addition for the regular extended day blocks that are charged from the time the child signs into extended day at 3:05 until they time they leave the School. The fee for families on the indexed tuition program is reduced proportional to percent reduction in tuition.
