A native of Southern California, Neal has been living and working in San Francisco for the last 20+ years. He is currently the CEO of Silicon Foundry, which is a venture firm that works with global corporations who are seeking to navigate and engage with entrepreneurs and emerging companies across the ecosystem in Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Sherpa, Neal split his time between San Francisco and Sub-Saharan Africa, as the head of the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology, which is a training, incubation and investment program that supports aspiring technology entrepreneurs on the continent. Earlier in his career, he was a venture investor at Rustic Canyon Partners, corporate development professional at Adobe and investment banker at Robertson Stephens.
Neal earned his BA from Duke University, studied at University College London and received an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He currently serves as a member of The San Francisco School’s Advancement Committee, and along with his wife Sandra Chang is a parent of Kate (2nd Grade) and Lucas.
