Mina Zargham ’03
Mina currently leads the Content Strategy and Operations at Periscope, the live-streaming app owned by Twitter. In this role, she is focused on finding ways to surface and best highlight the most compelling broadcasts, working with the Twitter team and the broader community around specific events and topics, pinpointing partnerships, and improving the operations of the Content team. She loves being part of such a collaborative, small yet busy team, and is motivated by the daily challenge of having to come up with not just the unique solutions, but also the questions that need to be answered.
Prior to Periscope, Mina was an Associate at Skillcapital, a private equity-focused management consulting and search firm, in NYC. During her time there, she was chosen to participate in the company’s first exchange program, during which she worked at the London headquarters for four months, consulting on global deals with European clients. In 2011, Mina graduated from Princeton University, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a certificate in Architecture. She attended SF University High School, where Steve Morris was her English teacher first semester freshman year. As an SFS alumna, she joined the first-ever double class in the sixth grade.
Mina was born in Iran, and her family moved to SF in 1999. She enjoys traveling, competed internationally as a fencer, and feels passionate about education and inspiring communities, like the one SFS has formed. In addition to her full-time job, she currently tutors in high school math and physics, because she loves teaching and wants to give other students the opportunities she was so fortunate to have, beginning with SFS. She is thrilled to be on the SFS board and can’t think of a better way of giving back to a place that supported her during such a pivotal time in her life and still means so much to her.
