Carla Morris

I was born in Michigan, but have lived in California most of my life.

I earned my BA in Studio Art from UC Santa Barbara and spent 20+ years in a successful career as an Art Director before fulfilling my long-time dream of becoming a teacher. As a Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI) graduate, I received my California Teaching Credential from SF State. Since this transition, I’ve taught in the kindergarten, second grade and fifth grade classrooms at Live Oak School in San Francisco. I most recently wrapped up two long-term maternity replacement positions at Head Royce School in Oakland and St. Matthews Episcopal Day School in San Mateo.

Though I’m passionate about teaching, when not in the classroom you’ll find me enjoying the hunt for treasures in thrift stores and flea markets, listening to podcasts or radio programs of by-gone eras, and taking “stay-cations” with friends throughout the Bay Area.
