Julie Haas chairs the Leadership Transition Team (LTT). Julie most recently served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees (2006-07) and has been actively involved since her children (6th grade and Class of ‘07) started at The School eleven years ago in 1996. Julie is the Senior Vice President of Customer Operations for SCI Solutions.
Marian Baldauf, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees and Parent (two Preschoolers) joined The School community in 2005. Marian is a Vice President at Dodge & Cox, a San Francisco Investment Firm.
Orpheus Crutchfield, Trustee and President of Strategenius, an educational placement firm dedicated to developing leaders of color in independent schools. Orpheus has worked with The School for several years and joined the board in 2005.
Dallas Glenn, 7th Grade Humanities Teacher for the past two years. Before joining The School in 2006, Dallas taught middle and high school in New Haven, Connecticut.
John Hedges, Trustee, Past Board President and Alumni Parent (Class of ’92 and Class of ’94). John has been part of The School community since 1981. John is the Executive Director of the Pro Bono Project Silicon Valley.
Sandra Hernandez, M.D., Parent (1st grade) who joined The School community in 2003. Sandra is the Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco Foundation, maintains a practice at San Francisco General Hospital in the AIDS clinic
and serves on multiple non-profit boards.
Tamara J. Hicks, Psy.D., Member of the LTT and co-chairs the Search Committee. Tamara, who joined the SFS community in 1998, is the outgoing President of the Board of Trustees and has two daughters at The School (6th grade and 2nd grade). Tamara is a Clinical Psychologist with a private practice, and the Lead for Disaster Mental Health of the American Red Cross-SF.
Charlie Meade, Member of the Search Committee and Leadership Transition Team. He is the Director of Development and a parent (Preschool). Charlie joined the SFS administration in 1999 and his daughter began at The School in 2005.
Miriam Phillips, Business Manager, Past Board President and Alumni Parent (Class of ’94 and Class of ’98). Miriam joined The School community in 1983 and became the Business Manager in 1997.
Matt Plut, President Elect of the Board of Trustees and parent (3rd Grade). Matt most recently was the Vice President of the Board and also has chaired the Diversity Committee. He has an active insurance firm based in San Francisco.
