The San Francisco
School offers a comprehensive
professional development
program for faculty and staff. The School sponsors
activities and workshops
at school throughout the year, provides time and
reimbursements for classes
and conferences sponsored by others, and seeks to
structure the teaching
experience to include ongoing professional dialog.
The School belongs to
such professional organizations as the California
Association of Independent
Schools and the Bay Area Teacher Development
Collaborative, and is a sponsor
school for the recently organized Bay Area Teacher
Training Institute. This

- BA-TTI.ORG (Bay Area Teacher
Training Institute)is a
new teacher-training
program sponsored by a consortium of independent
schools in the Bay Area,
including The San Francisco School. The program
allows a teacher, intern,
or teaching assistant employed fulltime at The San
Francisco School to earn
a California State Multiple Subjects Credential.

(California Association of Independent
Schools) is the state-wide
professional association of independent elementary and
secondary schools.
The Association sponsors workshops and conferences for
teachers,
administrators and trustees.

is the national
