Sixth Grade Student Wins First Place

Congratulations to SFS student DeVanee Watkins!

Last month, Sixth Grade student DeVanee Watkins was awarded first place at the annual SFUSD Oratorial Contest. Sponsored by the San Francisco Alliance of Black Educators, the contest judges students on their enunciation, projection, presentation style, poise, language use, vocabulary, delivery, and subject knowledge.

The victory is the fifth in a row for DeVanee. Congratulations!
