Ana Zacapa Camberos

Ana has twenty years of experience in philanthropy, investment banking, and non-profit management. She is currently advising ipsy, the world’s largest beauty community and subscription service, on the launch of their corporate philanthropy program.

Ana serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Root Capital, the leading global non-profit providing loans and financial advisory to smallholder farmer businesses. Ana is also a member of the President’s Council for Ceres, the principal U.S. non-profit mobilizing Fortune 500 businesses and institutional investors in support of climate and water policy. Ana has worked closely with Ceres for many years and was the founding Director of the Ceres California Office.

Previously, Ana was a Senior Program Officer at the Skoll Foundation, where she was a member of the Program Investment Committee and led the foundation’s Sustainable Markets program. Ana spent the first decade of her career in finance including at Bank of America Securities as Vice President focused on the renewable energy sector and at Bear Stearns in investment banking and emerging markets research. She graduated cum laude from Duke University with a BA in Economics and earned an MA in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. She is originally from Honduras and is fluent in Spanish and Italian.

Ana joined the Board in 2018. She lives in the Mission with her son, daughter, and her husband Marcelo.
