Extended Day Teacher
I believe that childhood is the time to begin teaching the skills needed to think critically, and was happy to find a school that shares my values!
I was born in San Francisco and raised on the Peninsula. After high school, I went to UCLA, where I completed my undergraduate degree in English literature with a focus in creative writing in 2011. I spent six years based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, teaching English as a foreign language to children and adults in school and home settings, and moved back to the Bay Area in November of 2017. After my years of teaching and learning, I became interested in exploring concepts of behavioral economics and statistical reasoning with young learners. I believe that childhood is the time to begin teaching the skills needed to think critically, and was happy to find a school that shares my values!
I am excited to join the SFS community as I begin my journey in education in the U.S. In preparation for the school year, I began taking classes in early childhood education during the summer. In my free time, I can be found reading, writing, dancing, cooking, or trying something new and seemingly terrifying.
