Twenty years ago, I traveled to the Bay Area for a family celebration, and have called San Francisco home ever since.
I’m a Midwestern girl with a peripatetic heart, having spent my post-college years in NYC, Chicago, Boston, DC, Germany, and in Honduras for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. After many years working in non-profit management for organizations like the Brava Theater Center and First Five San Francisco, I began studying for my Master of Library and Information Science at San José State University. It was while completing an internship with Solveig in the library during my master’s program that I came to learn what a fabulous place SFS is to work. I spent two years working part time at the front desk and substitute teaching at SFS while completing my masters degree. I am thrilled to say that I can now be found in the Library.
