Ben is the Executive Director and a member of the faculty at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business Center for Social Sector Leadership. Previously, Ben was the co-founder and CEO of EARN, which uses technology to help 150,000+ workers in all 50 U.S. states to save and invest in their futures. Ben is also a Senior Fellow at the Aspen Institute’s Financial Services Program.
At Berkeley Haas, Ben teaches strategy and leadership for social impact as well as the Social Lean Launchpad, an intense 11-week sprint for early-stage social ventures comprised of MBAs and other graduate students from around campus.
Ben remains a Board Director at EARN, and also serves as a Board Director for the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI). Ben is also an advisor for Kanarys, a startup using technology to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Ben holds a BA from Vassar College and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
