Interim Family Association Chair, Ex Oficio Trustee
Parent of 1st Grader
Jenny is a San Francisco native. She grew up in the Richmond district near Golden Gate Park. Jenny earned her bachelor’s degree at San Francisco State University in Child and Adolescent Development and is currently completing her Master’s degree at SFSU in Special Education. Jenny has always had a passion for teaching and a love of learning. She served as a head teacher for over 10 years at a local preschool and is now a substitute teacher at The San Francisco School. Jenny has always loved making a difference as a teacher — empowering young children and cultivating their curiosity while collaborating with other educators.
Jenny and her husband Mark share a blended family of 4 older children in their 20s, a first grader at The San Francisco School. They’ve been Portola residents for years and love the neighborhood. You might see Jenny and her family walking to and from school, at the Alemany Farmers’ Market, or exploring McLaren Park and the Portola library. They enjoy playing board games and playing basketball and soccer in their backyard.
Jenny and Mark saw how special The San Francisco School was the moment they walked through the gates to attend a tour and felt an immediate connection to the school community. Jenny has been involved ever since their son started in the North Class in 2018. She’s helped with tours and other events for perspective parents, served on the Family Association as the new parent liaison, and currently serves as the Interim Family Association chair.
