Tracy Kaplan

Parent of 4th and 6th graders
Ex-officio Member, Board of Trustees
Chair, Family Association

Tracy has loved being a parent at the San Francisco School ever since her daughter started preschool there in 2013. Over the years, she has volunteered as a room parent, class captain, and event clean up crew. She is excited to expand her involvement with the school this year as the Chair of the Family Association.

Tracy is originally from New York and moved to San Francisco in 2008. She has a deep background in media and tech, having started her career at WGBH in Boston and then ran CBS Interactive’s video partnerships team in the early days of video streaming. After many years working with publishers and creators of all sizes at Twitter, TuneIn, and then Patreon, Tracy has now found her home in podcasting. In between consulting with major podcasters, Tracy produces her own show, The Ten News, news for kids 8-12, under her own independent company, Small But Mighty Media.

She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Yale University. She calls Glen Park home and lives there with her husband, Jonathan, their two children, and a curious cat named Midnight.
