Extended Day

The Extended Day Program at SFS is student-centered and grounded in joyful exploration. After-school activities are a treasure trove of play-based, athletic, creative, and exhilarating experiences.

Extended Day

After enjoying an after-school snack, all children have access to unstructured daily play, space to study or read quietly, as well as special age-appropriate explorations in movement, art, science, sports, storytelling, leadership, and more. Both regular and drop-in options are available. Information, registration, and specialty classes are accessed through our online management system Jumbula.

Preschool

Our youngest students expand their social horizons in a warm and caring environment with activities led by familiar preschool staff members. They have outdoor and indoor play options -- to run, dig, build, swing, and imagine in the preschool’s dedicated play yard, or to engage in games, create art, and experience STEAM in the classroom.

  • Available 8:00-9:00 am and 3:00-6:00 pm
  • Optional fee-based speciality classes led by SFS staff and outside vendors

Special Programs

SFS offers childcare during teacher conferences as well as on professional development days. These fun and adventurous days frequently involve excursions into the city, introductory sports lessons, or wildly creative campus activities.

There are also fun-filled, themed Friday evenings for preschool to 5th grade students. Called Adults’ Night Out, these childcare events give parenting adults a child-free evening while the kids are having a blast on campus! For a nominal fee, students participate in creative and energetic pursuits, snacks and dinner, a movie and special activities for a very memorable time with friends.
